I’ve always loved the water, it provides me with a feeling of freedom as well as comfort. Lighthouses are also a nice symbol of returning home, especially in times of turbulence. When I first moved to the east coast, Peggy’s Cove was one of the first places I visited, and it made me feel at home despite being across the country. I hope this painting helps patients feel more at home, like Peggy’s Cove did for me.
